The Philodendron ShangriLa Variegated showcases heart-shaped leaves that are glossy and leathery in texture. The variegation on the leaves varies from plant to plant, but commonly includes shades of green, cream, or yellow. The variegation patterns can be marbled, speckled, or striped, adding a striking visual appeal to the plant. This Philodendron cultivar is known for its vigorous growth habit, producing multiple stems that spread out as it matures. The leaves emerge from the stems on long petioles, which can grow quite long, giving the plant an elegant and cascading appearance. The mature leaves can reach a size of 10 to 12 inches (25 to 30 cm) in length. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. The plant prefers moderate to high humidity levels, so misting the leaves or placing it near a humidifier can be beneficial.
